      British Columbia Among the region's many fine public gardens are a surprising number of historic landscapes. Some are restorations of once-fine gardens that had fallen into disrepair and were brought back to their former glory. British-Columbia is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, seven national parks, seven recreational areas, two heritage parks, and one sanctuary. 50% of British Columbia’s population is concentrated in the city of Vancouver. British Columbia occupies 10% of Canada’s land surface.

      The following is a list of buildings and structures classified as Schedule "A" and Schedule "B" heritage buildings by the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, are designated heritage buildings, and as such are legally protected by the city's heritage by-law No. The list does not include. Buildings in Gastown or areas are geographically designated heritage Class (M): Municipal – City of Vancouver Government. The forests of British Columbia provide raw materials for a wide variety of First Nations clothing, regalia, basketry, containers and art works.
